Eleven directors, self dubbed “The October Society” and renowned for their contribution to the horror movie genre, have joined forces to create Tales of Halloween a series of interconnected stories, each with a unique Halloween theme. Ten short films have been woven together by a shared theme in an American suburb, where ghouls, imps, aliens and axe murderers appear for one night only to terrorize unsuspecting residents. Tales of Halloween brings you Halloween night like you’ve never seen it before!
These Tales of Halloween come from filmmakers Adam Gierasch (Night of the Demons), Andrew Kasch (Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy), Axelle Carolyn (Soulmate), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III & IV), Dave Parker (The Hills Run Red), John Skipp (Stay at Home Dad), Lucky McKee (All Cheerleaders Die, The Woman), Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider!), Neil Marshall (The Descent), Paul Solet (Grace), and Ryan Schifrin (Abominable). The film features an ensemble cast including Pat Healy (The Innkeepers, Cheap Thrills), Alex Essoe (Starry Eyes), Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga), Keir Gilchrist (It Follows), Noah Segan (Looper), Pollyannna McIntosh (The Woman), James Duval (Donnie Darko), Kristina Klebe (Halloween), Marc Senter (The Lost), Jose Pablo Cantillo (“The Walking Dead”), Grace Phipps (Dark Summer), Sam Witwer (Being Human), and Graham Skipper (Almost Human). Tales of Halloween also boasts cameo appearances by celebrities and horror maestros Joe Dante, John Landis, Adam Green, Adam Pascal, Adrianne Curry, Mick Garris, Lombardo Boyer, and more.
The film celebrated a world premiere at Montreal’s 2015 Fantasia International Film Festival and has been selected to screen at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival’s opening night gala on October 15. Fans and critics have laid praise on Tales of Halloween with Twitchfilm calling it “a hellmouth full of talent sure to become a classic”.
